Terms and conditions

These terms govern your use of the Romway website and app and the booking and payment services they offer. By using the platform or completing a booking you agree to them.

01Definitions

  • “Romway” or “the platform”: the website, the app and the services they provide.
  • “Partner company”: the tour company that runs a trip listed on the platform.
  • “Traveller” or “customer”: anyone who uses the platform to book a trip or experience.
  • “Booking”: a traveller's request for a specific trip on a specific date, once it has been paid for.

02Your account

A traveller account is created with a phone number and activated with a verification code. You must give accurate details, keep access to your account private, and you are responsible for what is done through it.

03Booking and confirmation

Each trip page shows how it is confirmed: instantly, or by the partner company within a response time shown before payment. If the company does not confirm within that time, or declines the booking, the full amount is refunded under the refund policy.

Once confirmed, the traveller receives an e-ticket with a QR code in the app, and by email when the trip offers it.

04Prices and payment

  • Prices on the website are shown in Egyptian pounds (EGP), and the final price including any applicable VAT is shown before payment.
  • The full booking amount is paid when the booking is made, through a licensed online payment gateway (credit and debit cards and the available mobile wallets).
  • Romway does not store card details; they are processed by the payment gateway under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
  • Discounts or promo codes may apply to a booking; their value is shown in the payment summary before you confirm.
  • An electronic invoice is issued for every confirmed and paid booking and can be downloaded from the booking details.

05Cancellation and refunds

Cancellations and refunds follow the cancellation policy shown on each trip's page and the Refund & Cancellation Policy published on this website.

06Partner company responsibilities

The partner company runs the trip as described on its page and is responsible for the times, the meeting point, safety requirements and the necessary licences. Romway acts as the booking and payment intermediary and follows up on complaints with the company to protect the traveller's rights.

07Traveller obligations

  • Arrive at the meeting point on time with your ticket and any required documents.
  • Follow the safety instructions and the partner company's guidance during the trip.
  • Give accurate details for the travellers with you when asked.
  • Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

08Reviews

Travellers can review a trip once it has ended. Reviews must be honest and about the experience; Romway may hide any review that is abusive or breaks these terms.

09Limitation of liability

Romway takes due care in choosing its partners and reviewing their trips, and is not liable for damage caused by events beyond its control, such as bad weather or official decisions — while the traveller keeps the right to a refund if the trip is cancelled.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the new date is shown at the top of this page. Changes do not apply to bookings confirmed before they were published.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute, after an attempt to settle it amicably through our support team.
